Moving or not moving, that is the question

October 23, 2008 at 7:44 pm (Uncategorized) (, )

For those of you who do not know me, did not know that hubby and I were suppose to move. Back in August. It did not happen. Then we get told that we can move in mid Septemer. O.k, how about begining of October. Here it is almost the end of October and where am I? Not moved that’s for sure. Well, the person who we were going to rent from never once called us to tell us that we couldn’t move whenever he said we could before. We always had to call him. But it was always, ready to move in just as soon as the people there move out.

Today we call and hear this. “I’m sorry, but there is a problem with the floor, and I don’t know when we will fix it.”

What. Yea, that was my one thought. So the over three months of waiting to move into this place, down the drain. Now we have to start all over again. It’s kindof hard to be happy about any of this. So I’m wondering who it was I pissed off so bad that we are having to deal with all of this. Really, who was it? What did I do? All I want is some space of our own. That’s it. Appearently, it’s to much.

Fumbling through it all

June 19, 2008 at 3:37 pm (Uncategorized) (, )

So hubby and I are trying to find a house.

Yeah. OMG. I knew it wouldn’t be easy, but I’m so stuck. I don’t really know what to do, or where to look. I’ve looked in the papers, and called some numbers and such, but it feels like I’m trying to do this deaf and dumb. No one will just answer a question. They want all kinds of information just to answer a random, general question. It really is frustrating me to no end. I don’t know what to do.

Any ideas?

Ahhh, rain

June 9, 2008 at 6:51 pm (Uncategorized) (, )

It has been so dry here the past few weeks. With temps in the 100’s and no relief in site. Then hubby comes running in the room and tells me to look out the window. Rain. The sun is still shining, and the raining is pouring down. For a solid 15 minutes we were drenched. This brings me hope that maybe I won’t loose my plants this year. I’d really hate to start from scratch.

On another note I’ve been making charm bracelets to sell on Etsy. My store is www.TreasuresfromHome.etsy.com If you have a minute check it out and let me know what you think!!

Paradise

Paradise Rose

This is my Paradise Rose. One of those off chances on getting a rose that I have never seen again. It was in the clearance section of one of those box stores. Only one there, at a price I couldn’t beat. Three years later it’s still giving me huge, beautiful blooms. Starting in a lavender shade and fading to hot pink. Yes, fading to hot pink. Always an eye catcher when it blooms. My other rose Don Juan is doing well. Lots of blooms this year. I have two new roses. Opening Night and Olympiad. Olympiad has two buds on it. It looks to be a wonderfully deep shade of red.

killer rabbit

So here it is. My killer rabbit. It’s a group on Ravelry and Yahoo. Like sock wars, but with bunnies. I didn’t play though, I just tested the pattern. Came out pretty cute though. People have already tried to steal it.

My neck of the woods

clematis

My clematis has bloomed. This one is called The President. I love the colors of it, and the size. It’s as big as my hand.

I watched a really good movie the other day. P.S. I love you. It’s sad at first, and just gets better. One of those that you tell your hubby to just go on so you can watch it in peace.

Other than that, not a lot going on here. I’ve been knitting a Carolina Panthers scarf for my Nana, and watching my flowers bloom. My roses are so close. I’ll probably have a pic of them in a week!

Almost the end of April

April 25, 2008 at 7:14 am (Uncategorized) (, , )

Phlox

Ahh the beauty of wildflowers. This phlox, is so far, one of the various colors that have sprung from my all purple ones last year. I have noticed lots of my flower in the garden starting to bud and open. I wonder how they will do this year. Lots of plants for me are in their second year. They should be bigger and more beautiful than last year. My roses are still smaller than most in the area. Most others are starting to bloom, while I still only have buds. But long after theirs fade, I’ll be enjoying mine. Most people stop and stare when they walk by now. Not many of them ask questions. They just gaze at the flowers. I wonder what it is they remember gazing at all I have blooming.

We are suppose to hit 80 today. Looks like another hot and dry summer.

White Squirrels

White Squirrel

I went up to my grandmother’s house this past weekend and thought I would share a pic of one of her white squirrels. They are native to the area that she lives, and she absolutely loves them. They are cute, for squirrels. Other than that, not a whole lot happening.
